I need your help to fund the filming of my cycling expedition documentary that will encourage women globally to exercise. Your financial support will help fund the cost of a professional production crew, bike equipment, traveling, lodging and food expenses.
I will ride my bike 500 miles along the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage trail from southern France through northern Spain to Santiago de Compostela, the home of the shrine of Saint James the Great. I will bike along the varied landscapes of the Camino de Santiago in a challenging 7 days, while meeting pilgrims from all over the world and having a professional camera crew document my exciting adventure on film.
I will extend my journey another 100 plus miles by riding to the town of Finisterre, which was once thought of as the end of the world, and then on to the beautiful seaside town of Muxia renowned for its spectacular beaches. I will continue journeying through Europe 12 more days by train and bike through Spain, France, Italy, Netherlands and England, stopping along the way to explore the culture, sights and sounds of major cities and small towns, interacting with locals, viewing art from the masters, visiting marketplaces, sampling exotic cuisines and discovering interesting destinations.
As an avid cyclist, bike advocate and world traveler, I will spend a total of 21 days traveling Western Europe by bike, rail and foot. From the city to the countryside to the coast, by testing the limits of my own strength and endurance, I will bike 700 plus miles as I seek to inspire women globally to shake up their normal routine and to find fun and adventure through exercise, mainly by riding a bike.
